M.S.A. General-MTAC Division

I have been bored way too often lately....And, I dunno why but I'm down in the dumps! So, I'm bored, depressed, feeling left out of things, and over all tired. Wow, two lines in and it's my most downtrodden entry ever!

My Dad's currently on disability, due to the fact that some crappy machine at his work broke his hand. So, that's bumming me out. I graduate June 3rd, and that's making me sad because one of my best friends is moving away to go to college. I'm still looking for a job, and I hate to work so that's also bringing me down.

So, what do I do when I'm in a funk like this? I look at all of the positive things in my life. I have my family, my health, college this fall, amazing friends, all of our pets, the M.S.A..... And now, after typing those things out, I honestly feel much better. I've adopted the rule that if something bothers me, I rip out the negative, keep the positive, and move on. The last thing anyone ever needs is a burden. Listen to me, being all philosophical! I'm gonna pat myself on the back for cheering myself up! <3 Melly

Three weeks from Saturday I graduate. For some strange reason I was thinking "This is the summer when my life starts."...Sounded strange but with the way my life has taken a comple 180 in the last month or so it makes sense. Plus, going into college changes a lot.....

And of course, the M.S.A. is part of my life now. It's totally prepping me cuz my major's graphic/web design. So, I'm not going in blind. But as for the M.S.A., we're now international. So sweet...And, we've been official for less than three weeks and we're almost at 200 members!! EEE!! I love each and every single person that registers! You people all rock!!!!

Ok, 'bout to go have to do something for dinner. That and try again to find a new job.....looks like I'm gonna have to go back into the restaurant business. This time as a waitres.. Hey, so long as it pays well......<3 Melly

I've been a busy little skirt!! Many updates, constant bugging of the Fuhrer, lots and lots of Photoshop work lead up to the GLORIOUS new look of the M.S.A. website!!!

It also looks like I'll be able to visit another con this year. YAY! I'll get to rock my General outfit again! DOUBLE YAY!

Ours is great here. M.S.A. is great. School's great cuz all I have left is to graduate. Job...ehh, not so great. In the process of finding a new one, and in Gallatin Tennessee that's a surprisingly hard thing to do. Who knew there were so many people in this tiny town? I sure didn't. But, speaking of people, lemme tell ya what happened the other day. We live on a backroad out in the country. The kinda road where nothing ever happens. Now, this GENIUS farmer is driving down the road with some kinda crazy looking farm equipment on his trailer. This thing had what looked to be arms coming out of everywhere. The moron drives WY too close to the side of the road and manages to take out nearly every mailbox on our street.....Some people can be so dumb......<3 Melly

I have said wow more times in the last twenty-four hours than I have probably in my entire life. Why you ask? Because I'm brilliant. Haha....no. Because my dear friend T did some shameless promoting of the M.S.A., and the people that have joined thus far have been nothing short of amazing. The staff's already coming together, and the roster's upwards of 50. IN ONE DAY PEOPLE!!! Woooo...I need to calm down. But seriously, thanks to everyone for everything (specific's not my middle name). Celira, for your oh so lovely comment. T, for not freaking at my twenty some odd e-mails a day. Angie, for your PR work (I have a feeling the next week's gonna be crazy). And, to anyone I have forgotten. The ride has only just begun. And it's gonna be "hot". <3 Melly

Ominous title, eh? It has deep meaning. Today, I took my final tests of high school. Thirteen years of mandatory learning has led up to this. In just a few short months, I'll be free. Well, at least until college starts this fall. But it's kinda strange. I feel, I dunno, older or something. And tired. So much will change, but it'll be good.

On a more up-beat subject, I FINALLY got the badges for the M.S.A. today! Super yay! It took me nearly an hour to fix the design of them on the computer. But, now that it's done, I've gotta get copies made. 100 copies......this army's sucking my wallet dry! But it's completely worth it!! <3 Melly

A scarily small amount of things to write about. Things are moving along for MTAC. Although, we've switched into the panic upon realizing that four weeks from right now we'll be at pre sign-in. We have all of the supplies to make everything. Now, it's just a matter of making it...So much work, so little time. <3 Melly

As the header states, I am bored. Tuesday night, my sis and I went to see Peelander-Z. Freaking awesome. We got pulled up on stage, and the whole thing was insanity mixed with fun. I really need to get cracking on all of my MTAC stuff, seeing as how it's next month. I've gotta do buttons, badges, costumes, wigs, shoes......too much. So so short this time, but I've made myself want to go do something productive. <3 Melly

Ok, only two things worth posting. One,I went and had all of my Senior pictures done on Friday. Now it's REALLY setting in that this is the end of high school. Two, last night, in an act to look different from how I've looked for the past eighteen years of my life, I dyed my hair black. Now, I did it for a more specific reason. At MTAC I'll cosplay as female Roy Mustang and probably Byakuya Kuchiki. Both of which have black hair. So, I needed to test it. Didn't want to do it two days before the con and have it come out looking like crap or something. Still looking for a car and a job. Need one quick seeing as how I start college in the fall. Well, seeing as how tomorrow is my little sisters birthday, I should probably get some sleep. <3 Melly

So, my little Travis Willingham recruiting team has turned into a full-fledged army. I was trying to keep the Mini-Skirt Army peaceful, but Vic and Travis decided it'd be fun to have a little (friendly) competition. So, MTAC '06 is quickly turning into a real life Fullmetal vs Flame. The Risembool Rangers vs The Mini-Skirt Army. Of course, we know the skirts are going to win. Boy oh boy, this MTAC is going to be an exciting one. I'm sick. Which sucks. Actually, my whole family is sick, which sucks even more. But, on the plus side, I got my unrestricted drivers license yesterday. Woohoo! Good gosh, I lead a boring life.....Planning on getting all of the supplies for my Mini-Skirt Army uniform this weekend. The thing's going to be a pain in the butt to make, but, I'm definitely gonna make the best female Mustang ever! <3 Melly

My new layout is so me. Anime style kittens in pink. Had an exciting day yesterday. Travis officially announced that, Yes, he IS coming to MTAC! And then, Patrick (guest relations guru for 'TAC) was way cool and let me announce on the boards that Travis would be there. Of course, he gets to be the esteemed Fuhrer of the MTAC Mini-Skirt Army. That whole thing took on a life of it's own, and now I'm recruiting people for actual positions. It's really awesome. Well, I have to go paint something, or clean something...... <3 Melly

The weekend's coming. YAY! Two days of R&R. Yeah right. We have an appraiser coming Monday, so the house has to be uncommonly clean. I wouldn't be surprised if our Mom made us scrub the grout between the tiles with a toothbrush. Ah well, Life ain't so bad though. Finished my Faye Valentine wig for MTAC, now I just have to do my Ichimaru Gin one. The costumes....well, those are another story. But I procrastinate. I get everything and I'm like, "Okay, I've got it all, I'll finish everything SUPER early and rest before the 'TAC!" And in truth, I'm usually up 'til 4 a.m. the night before trying to finish the outfits. That should have been my New Year's resolution, "NO MORE PROCRASTINATION!" <3 Melly

I love being 18. It's the first Birthday I've had where I actually feel older. I dunno, it gives me a sense of freedom or something. All I know is I love being self-sufficient. Is that a weird thing? On to more exciting news, prepping for MTAC is about to get under way. All the costume making, wig styling craziness that I live for will take up all of my time for the next three months. But it's completely worth it! <3 Melly

Long time, no post. But hey, what can I say? I'm just now on the official winter school break. Three weeks 'til I have to crack open those books again. Ah, and speaking of January, tomorrow it will be EXACTLY one month 'til my 18th B-Day. YAY FOR ME! Of course, once you hit adulthood you're suddenly swamped with a million new responsibilities: bills, jobs, college payments. Sigh. Anybody got some spare money just lying around that they can give to me. Well, anywho, Merry Christmas to each and every one of you. Okay, last night I FINALLY got to watch FF7: Advent Children. It was, in a word, GORGEOUS! Anyone who's a gamer or anime fan HAS to see this movie. It's just that good! Well, short message, yeah, but, gotsta do some work. <3 Melly

Abarai's my sisters little kitten, and I swear, he's the CUTEST cat ever! Lately, I've noticed the knack said sister has for bringing in strays. First the cat, and the other day she brought home two full-grown dogs. And normally, that wouldn't be so bad. Except, one of the dogs (which I have dubiously nicknamed Black Hayate) loves to chase our horses.He'll REALLY cross the line if he harms my precious pet rooster Hermy. Yes, you read that right. I have a pet rooster. He's amazingly tame, but, he has been known to chase people down the yard if he doesn't like them. Last nights adult swim was awesome, naturally. I was biting my nails te whole time Sloth was going at Winry. And Champloo, Mugen...Mugen, Mugen, Mugen. Sucha perv. But hey, I still love 'em! And GITS! Seeing Bateau in a Hawaiian print shirt was PRICELESS!! And last but not least, s-CRY-ed. I merely watch that show for the innuendo spoken between Kazuma and Ryuho. And Cougar. He's so funny! Okay, the boat parade was beautiful! The reflections of hundreds of tiny lights in the water was so amazing! Too bad it was kinda rainy..... Anywho, while in Wal-Mart, I found the phrase for my life: People don't notice what you do, until you stop doing it. That is so true. Particularly of my lazier than sloth siblings. Ok, so the day hasn't been an entire waste due to the fact that I spent most of the afternoon playing a rather violent game of Monopoly. Who knew people could get so defensive over real estate?
